Ye has had a huge week, from his surprise performance at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom, to the Instagram-driven release of his official album title (Yeezus, which will arrive on June 18th), to the “New Slaves” video release, in which the visuals for song were projected on the side of 66 buildings around the world.

And now, this.

I had a huge argument with Leighton Pope, Crosby’s director of video, before drafting anything about Ye’s SNL performance. He seems to think that the act — which included impassioned renditions of both “New Slaves”, and “BLK SKINHEAD”, which according to Virgil Abloh’s Twitter, Kanye wrote extemporaneously — was genius.

I think it was really unsettling, not for its incendiary lyrics and feverish delivery (neither of which are all that extraordinary for Mister West), but for what it reveals about the artist’s chaotic mindframe. I really think we’re seeing a meltdown, here — not in the sense of the miniature rants he’s torn off on during performances around the world, but an actual, prolonged descent into madness.

Or is it just an act? Am I the sucker?

We applaud Kanye for saying the things we won’t say, and being an angry voice of irrationality, and selling us the same sh*t he condemns us for wanting. We’re impressed with his charisma, his self-hood, and his passion. He is what we can’t be, and we encourage him to achieve even more unattainable heights by feasting on the Kanye cultural cornucopia with insatiable hunger.

I guess it’s both, really. I think it is an act, and I think it is also a downward spiral. I just don’t know how much longer an artist — even one like Kanye — can bear up under this tremendous weight of culture that he chooses to shoulder.

What’s the end game, Kanye? What’s the plan? How much longer will you be able to stay at a boiling point without burning yourself out?

I honestly don’t have a clue. This is a discussion piece, and I would love to hear from commenters on it, because I think we’re seeing something fascinating unfold.

Kanye West absolutely killed it this weekend.

It started on Friday night when he enlisted what I can only imagine was a huge street team to project a video for his new “Slaves” track on 66 different buildings in 10 cities across the globe including New York, L.A., Paris, and London.

Then came Kanye’s much-anticipated SNL appearance. Kanye took to a nearly pitch black stage, illuminated only by a projection of vintage advertisements and the occasional spotlight, performing two new songs: his “Slaves” track and a jam provocatively titled “Black Skinhead”.

Ripping down those performances would have certainly been enough to clinch “huge weekend” status for Mister West, but he didn’t stop there. Instead, he let his boo Kim Kardashian tweet out the title and artwork for his June 18th album. What’s the album title? Yeezus. What’s the album art? Well, it’s right here:

Boom, boom, boom… then on Sunday, Kanye West rested.

$5.8 Million. That’s what this 1960 Aston Martin DB4GT “Jet Coupe” is valued at.

Why, you ask?

It was the last DB4GT completed, designed by Carrozzeria Bertone, lost for a while, found, and turns out to be the only one produced.

What started off in 1958 at the London Auto Show, The potential was seen in the original DB4 and adjusted as a touring car, becoming the DB4GT, maxing out at 302 hp. It wasn’t even the MVP at that show. That honor went to the Jaguar E-Type.

Spending time in Beruit before heading over to the USA, it was forgotten about until the 1980s, where it was found in bad shape, including an engine fire and a large amount of rust.

But all it takes is a lot time and a crap load of money and the car is back to a prominent, daily driving condition. But for $5.8 million, no one is driving this thing everyday.

Luckily for a select few, the Aston Martin DB4GT will be going up for auction this year. I love the shape, I know James Bond stuck to the regular DB4, but this thing would have been special.

That’s exactly what might happen as the producers of James Bond and Co. have allegedly contacted The Dark Knight super-director Christopher Nolan to take the wheel on the next James Bond film.

Nothing’s set in stone at this moment, but because of how much time the James Bond films take to prepare and shoot (24-months), Nolan would have to take on a second job, while he shoots his time-continuem drama Interstellar.

I would love to see a new darker, edgier direction of James Bond, and Christopher Nolan would be the man to make that possible.

Other than their secret sources, here are the reasons why they think they know she’s pregnant:

1. “Rumors first began churning that the Grammy winner was with child when, earlier this month, she walked the red carpet at the Met Gala wearing a custom-made Givenchy gown that deftly concealed her stomach, its bodice cinched high above the waist just as its intricate pattern made it difficult to discern any change in her silhouette.”
2. “Speculation then went into overdrive Tuesday after Beyoncé was forced to cancel her Mrs. Carter Show performance in Antwerp, Belgium, after doctors advised her to rest “as a result of dehydration and exhaustion.”

The article closes by saying, “Beyonce’s rep could not be reached for comment. Jay-Z’s rep had no comment.” So, really no one has any idea.
