“A denimhead’s wet dream” would be another way to put it. “Packed with fashionable objects” would be a third. And, if we’re picking out negative qualities: “An OCD man’s nightmare” would also work.

Until now, Ralph Lauren’s premium denim line was only available in Macy’s stores, but that has all changed thanks to the launching of two stand-alone locations, one in Boston, the other in New York City. The above is actually a direct line from Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s voice-over narration in Don Jon. Doing his own voice-over, instead of giving the gig to an old dude with a lifetime-smoker’s growl, gives the trailer more of a short film vibe, rather than the summer blockbusters we’ve been weeding through lately.

For this feature-length silver-screen debut of his HitRecord project, JGL plays a stereotypical meathead whose straightforward world is rocked by Scarlett Johannson. Basically, Gordon-Levitt transformed himself into a younger, skinnier Mark Wahlberg, doubly funny because the background song of the trailer is Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.

Well done JGL.

Don Jon has that  Jersey Shore redux vibe, but that’s fine — because it works even with the major porn overtone. After meeting the girl (Scarlett) the porn becomes the evil character. When he gets caught watching some barely legals, it changes the whole balance of their relationship.

Oh and Tony Danza plays his father. That alone is reason enough to go see Don Jon when it releases this September.

Martial arts master Marrese Crump is the most athletic man in the world. I feel pretty comfortable saying this given the just-released trailer for RZA‘s follow up to The Man With The Iron Fists: FORMLESS.

Watch Mister Crump do his thing. You shall shudder in awe. I feel bad for all the extras that Mister Crump’s goes HAM on.

Details are sparse in terms of plot and release date for FORMLESS, but suffice it to say this film looks bananas. While we wait for more, check out the IMDb for RZA’s The Man With The Iron Fists here to see what kind of movies he’s capable of creating.

“Bubble Butt” was one of my favorite jams from Major Lazer‘s newest album Free The Universe. Thus, I’m exceedingly happy today to be able to post the just-released remix of said jam.

Admittedly, the remix is pretty much the same as the original. The only difference being that we get an added 2 Chainz verse, but I’m still happy to get a chance to share the “Bubble Butt” love once again.

The JP mid is hooked up all around the upper with a heathered grey/blue sweatshirt coating, contrast stitching and the Purcell staple toe cap. The white outsole matches up with the navy midsole, that wraps up under the to cap as well. My one quarrel with the mid is the laces. I find that the white, thin rope lace on a darker upper makes it look very childish. I know it’s a classic sneaker since forever, but #jussayyinn.

The sweatshirt option as an upper doesn’t get utilized nearly as much as it should, even in the cold months when it would make far more sense. Can’t wait to see whats next — maybe a down-feather-stuffed patent leather high top coming out in June?

As the title of this article suggests, Ryan Hemsworth‘s just-releasd Still Awake EP is 7 tracks, or 23 minutes and 29 seconds, of very good electro music.

Why is it so very good?

Well, that’s because Mister Hemsworth packs a lot of different, very interesting sounds into a very short amount of sonic space, all the while, somehow maintaining a very listenable sound.

Usually, you have to choose between those two things.

I would also like to note that it’s a rainy day in New York City and the downtempo mix is phenomenal as the soundtrack for a rainy day. If you’re in NYC, I suggest you cut on Still Awake right now. If you’re elsewhere and you’re enjoying a sunny day, hold off on Still Awake until your city’s weather provides the appropriate Still Awake listening situation.
