American, British & French Playstation devotees (and devotees from countries whose flags aren’t comprised of those colors)  will be patriotically pleased, ’cause Sony will soon release its beloved gaming console in red, white, and blue bodies.

The release very nearly coincides with Sony’s already-scheduled February 20th press conference, at which it’s widely speculated that the Japanese manufacturing giant will announce the imminence of a fourth-generation console.

This release will feature a slightly slimmer body and a 500GB hard drive, so there is some reason to purchase it beyond it’s sexy new colorways. Even so, we’d hold off until the 20th before making any rash decisions.

The blue & red versions will be available at select stockists worldwide starting February 15th, with the white edition slated to arrive a month later.
