LunarGrand Suede & Pebbled Leather Collection for SS13 | fragment design x Cole Haan

LunarGrand Suede & Pebbled Leather Collection for SS13 | fragment design x Cole Haan

Though Nike bid it farewell, Cole Haan still has the Swoosh’s sole — no pun intended. The company (acquired in November by Apax Partners) has another LunarGrand line on the way, this one created in collaboration with Beaverton’s design soul, fragment design.

The Spring/Summer 2013 collection is heavy on the suede, with a Venetian bit loafer and a longwing brogue available in the luscious textured leather. That longwing profile also gets a pebble-grain leather treatment. In black, it looks like an infinitely handsomer version of shoes Danny DeVito’s Penguin would rock; in cream, like a pair of kicks that Chevy Chase’s Ty Webb would don.

Following a launch at Dover Street Market in Ginza, Japan, the collection will be available globally. Check select stockists starting February 6th outside of Japan; January 25th if you’re in the Land of the Rising Sun.
