We don’t know who’s buying this Lanvin Knitted-Back Leather Biker Jacket, but hats off to the financial mastermind that can afford its four large pricetag, ’cause this piece is incredibly handsome.
Sewn in Italy from dark grey leathers, the front of the jacket is your standard slim biker — asymmetrical zipper, cropped hem, snap-button closure at the throat. Some embroidery at the shoulder corners is as ornate a detail as you’ll find on this piece.
But on the reverse, the old guard of Parisien couture got tricky, slapping the jacket with a knit-cotton grey back panel that boils down to a thick ribbed waist. Somehow, being made with less leather makes the jacket more expensive. Fashion!
You can — well, if you have the money, you can — buy the jacket at Mr. Porter for $4,250 USD.
