Paris is the City of Lights, and Rome The Eternal City, but every January, Pitti Uomo turns provincial Florence into the City of Menswear.

GQ has blogger/correspondent/photographer  (blopondegrapher?) Tommy Ton on the ground in Italy shooting streetstyle at the tradeshow. Ton delivered a mid-convention selection of 51 images, of which we’ve picked some of our favorites.

The overall takeaway: anyone who happens to be in Florence right now is an honorary “coolest person ever”. Except for Nick Wooster, who remains the coolest person ever regardless of his geographical location.
