Mister West is determined not to go quietly into 2013. Yeezy played Revel Atlantic City’s Ovation Hall last night in a white-on-white outfit befitting Christian Bale in Equilibrium, a disappointingly normal outfit compared to the Givenchy/Pyrex get-up in which he rocked the 12.12.12 concert earlier this month.

Kanye had two unique treats in store for his Atlantic City fans, though.

The “Clique” Freestyle. The artist went on an instrumental freestyle for about 10 minutes in the middle of “Clique”, lashing out at everyone from bloggers who trashed him on 12.12.12, to bloggers who trashed his fashion line’s Paris debut, to “n****s killin’ n****s”. Again and again he repeated the verses “I’m not crazy / I’m just not satisfied”, and “I don’t care what they think / ’cause other people don’t / think”. At times it, it was lyrical; other times, inspirational; and occasionally  it was borderline deranged. But it was all vintage Kanye.

The pregnancy announcement. In the middle of a song he claims to have written about Kim Kardashian, he had the DJ cut the music. Then, impishly grinning, he told the crowd “Make some noise for my baby mama real quick.” And just like that, Kanye and Kim are having a baby. So, there’s that.

After a huge 2012, we can only imagine what Mister West has planned for next year.
