Gentleman’s Quarterly revealed its Most Stylish Men of the year in the days leading up to Christmas, but considering that today is the final day of 2012, we thought now was the right time to take a closer look at the magazine’s picks.
Atop 2012′s handsome throne is Daniel Craig, whose role in Skyfall helped propel the Bond movie to a record-breaking box office take. We’re cool with that; dude’s a stud. Jay-Z took a very respectable 15th and managed to sneak some Brooklyn Nets gear into GQ’s photo collage, and White Collar’s Matt Bomer has certainly earned his 11-seed by being cable television’s best-dressed protagonist.
But, as is the beauty of these lists, not everyone will agree on every pick. We certainly didn’t. Here are some of the selections that baffled, annoyed, or downright surprised us. Break it down:
The Overrated: Zac Efron (2); Bruno Mars (6); Archer (22); Robert Pattinson (5)
The Underrated: A$AP Rocky (21); Ryan Gosling (17); Yasiin Bey (19)
The Unexpected: Nick Jonas (10); Wes Anderson (23); Justin Theroux (9); Matt Lauer (13)
What do you think of the magazine’s Most Stylish Men of 2012? Did they miss someone big? Include someone ugly? Sound off in the comments!
