Flying the skull & bones on its black leather heel piece, the collaborative Dunk Hi Premium from mastermind Japan and Nike looks insidious enough to be laced up by high-seas cutthroats on the Somalian seas, or even you.
The skeletal logo beneath the swoosh, is mastermind’s. Because designer Masaaki Homma announced that he’ll be taking a break from designing after Spring 2013, this sneaker could mark one of the last for the 15 year-old brand. So it may end up being so coveted that actual high-seas cutthroats woul cut your throat to cop your pair.
As for the kick itself, it’s offered in two greyscale colorways. One will be black on black leather, with swatches of patent and black embroidery set off by a white midsole. The other is grey/black which for our money, is the better option of the two for its versatility and texture.
The sneaker dropped in Japan on December 8th, but pairs have already made it to eBay for a going rate of around $500 USD.
