Parking Fines Are Picket Lines for a Los Angeles Driver

Parking Fines Are Picket Lines for a Los Angeles Driver

Kenny Morrison has paid the city of Los Angeles over $12,000 in parking tickets, which itself is remarkable, but not the story.

Kenny Morrison paid the city of Los Angeles this astronomical sum via a series of personal checks, each of which he inscribed with lyrics, poems, and random curse words that captured his emotional distress at the time of payment. Also remarkable, but not quite a story.

Kenny Morrison took pictures of all these hilariously defaced personal checks with which he paid off this astronomical parking-ticket sum to the city of Los Angeles, and is hoping to turn them into a book and an art exhibit called Cashed Threats.

And there, dear reader, is your story.
