Winter in the UK is a lot like “Anarchy in the UK”: it’s bitter, alienating and relentless, and ugly people have sex during it. Tricker’s latest footwear for End Hunting Co. is the Trail Pack: two handmade responses to the biting British winter that’re so classically handsome that not-ugly women will (maybe) sleep with you.
Inspired by the demanding activities of ’40s and ’50s British sportsmen, the Logger Boot ($600 USD) is constructed from Cola Repello suede, a premium dress suede with a fine nap that the Anglo shoemaker loves working with. To complement the rugged Repello, Tricker’s skipped the brogue detailing on this boot, instead opting for a rugged work boot profile with a welted, lugged sole. The vintage climbing laces & smooth leather tongue provide nice contrast against both the Cola Repello and the dark waxed suede colorways.
The Tramping Shoe ($577) shares the Logger’s laces, but skews street with a white VBS Gumlite sole attached to its Goodyear welt. As with the Logger, the shoe is available both in a clay-red Repello and a beige waxed suede.
