Further blurring the line between Xbox Live and being alive, Microsoft‘s Xbox 360 will begin selling a physical version of the life-saving care packages that are “airlifted” into the digital battlegrounds of its disgustingly popular Call of Duty video game franchise.
I honestly don’t know what to make of this thing. It looks like one of those utility trunks that rattles around a contractor’s pick-up truck bed, except the CODII Care Package is filled not with wrenches and losing scratch-off tickets, but rather all this geeky stuff:
- Remote Controlled MQ-27 Dragonfire Drone
- Nuketown 2025 Bonus Map & Nuketown Zombies Bonus Map
- Collectible 2-Sided SteelBook
- Two Challenge Coins (access to exclusive digital content)
- Weapon Camo
- Player Card Backgrounds
- Official soundtrack, including the Trent Reznor theme
- Xbox LIVE® CLAW Avatar Prop & Zombies Avatar Costume
Though its site claims you can get a Care Package at a bunch of big-box retailers for $179.99 USD, your best bet is to call your local Best Buy, because everywhere seems to be sold-out online.
